DataOn Wins 5 stars on IT Works Top Digital Awards 2022

Following on the heels of many accomplishments throughout this year 2022, PT Indodev Niaga Internet (DataOn) completes this year with another proud achievement – winning ITwork’s “TOP Digital Awards 2022” in the class ‘TOP DIGITAL Implementation 2022’ with 5 Stars (Excellent).

To qualify for this national award in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) & TELCO, DataOn passed a series of questions and judging interviews by the 2022 TOP Digital Awards Jury Team. The jury members stem from various industry backgrounds and are experts in their respective fields. DataOn awon the 5 Star-Award for its success in offering and deploying innovative products and services. These are based on the latest trends in technology to support companies in their digital transformation efforts, both in HR and Business management systems and services.

This achievement, which DataOn won a second time, is a result of the company continuously investing in new digital solutions and innovation of its existing flagship HR and business solutions. This year DataOn released its 7th version of SunFish – rebranded as SunFish Workplaze. SunFish Workplaze turns a legacy HRIS solution into a modern B2B2E digital platform. It caters to the needs of managers as much as it does to employees. It provides a new truly engaging HR experience from time recording to performance tracking. The solution easily fits into peoples’ modern and busy lifestyles.

The Highest Number of Participants

In this year’s award season, 183 participants from government agencies and business corporations competed for the awards This marks a slight increase of 6.5% compared to the 2021 award season. Until today, this is the highest number of participants in IT / digital technology awards in Indonesia.

The TOP Digital Awards 2022 Award Ceremony took place on December 15, 2022 at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta Ballroom. DataOn’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & President Director, Gordon James Enns and HR Director, Andre Matius received the award. Furthermore, our CEO Gordon James Enns was given the “TOP Leader on Digital Implementation 2022”.

This leadership award is an acknowledgment for the company’s senior management team for their dedication and continued commitment to digital innovation, and helping companies in their transformation journey from traditional to modern ways of working. It comes in the light of new market demands pushing Indonesian companies and government offices towards digitalization of work processes to cope with an increasingly dynamic work environment since the COVID-19 pandemic. DataOn’s delivers a stable performance in the midst of the pandemic situation, taking the opportunity to transform its own internal procedures and work-related changes to ultimately embed them in a new product version that is delivered and used by customers (users) across all industry backgrounds.

The TOP DIGITAL Awards are an annual event organized by ItWorks magazine from the MSI Group. It is supported by Experts and a Board of Judges from various IT associations. These include MASTEL (Indonesian Telematics Society), APKOMINDO (Indonesian Association of Computer Entrepreneurs), FTII (Indonesian Information Technology Federation) ASPILUKI (Indonesian Software Association), IDTUG (Indonesia Telecommunication User Group), and LKN (Institute for Nawacita Studies). 

Chief Organizer of the 2022 Awards, M. Lutfi Handayani, MM, MBA, who is also the Editor in Chief of ItWorks Magazine, says that since the first year of its implementation, in 2016, the TOP DIGITAL Awards were designed as an award event full of learning aspects. That includes the establishment of the MSI Institute as a forum to facilitate consulting and training activities which participants can seek if they wish or are required, to improve their performance, competitiveness and services. 

Encouraging Digitalization

He continued to say: “One aim of the 2022 TOP DIGITAL Awards, is to encourage increased implementation and utilization of digital solutions in government agencies and companies in Indonesia. This means to support increasing the competitiveness of the national economy, towards an advanced and prosperous Indonesia. Apart from that, we encourage innovations based on digital solutions in order to improve performance and service to consumers and the public.”

Chairman of the jury, Prof. Dr. -Ing. Ir. Kalamullah Ramli, M.Eng, additionally pointed out the awards are not just about evaluating the implementation efforts of digital technology, but also include advice and feedback as the expert jurors give opinions, suggestions and input to the participants at the end of the interview sessions on how to support more digitization innovation going forward.

Saying further: “The TOP DIGITAL Awards activities organized by ItWorks magazine are very much in line with the policy directions of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, which is the acceleration of digital transformation to encourage increased implementation and utilization of digital technology, both in government agencies, business corporations and other institutions.”

The assessment for determining the winner begins with an initial selection of 900 potential participants, to produce the best 200 candidates. IT experts and the jury recommend candidates from companies and government agencies, which are considered successful in terms of implementing and utilizing digital technology. Some supporting data, including the results of the SPBE (Electronic-Based Government System) assessment conducted by KemenPANRB, were also taken into consideration in this initial selection.

Out of the 200 best candidates, 183 participants took part in the final assessment process, including attendance and presentations on the successful implementation and use of digital technology, in the Judging Interview activities which were held online. (AC)
